prebit USB-C charging module

Many LED luminaires from the prebit range are now available with an integrated USB-C charging module. The high-performance module supports USB Power Delivery, including PPS, and provides charging power of up to 65 watts.

The USB-C connector is compactly integrated into the luminaire’s wall plate. This allows smartphones, tablets, navigation devices, digital cameras and other compatible electronic devices to be charged directly on board comfortably and quickly.

The charging module has been specifically developed for use in boats, caravans and motorhomes with an on-board voltage of 8 to 32 Volt. In addition to USB Power Delivery 3.1 with PPS, it also supports the fast-charging protocols Quick Charge 3.0 and SCP.

Intelligent adjustment of charging power

For a compatible device, the charging module and the device automatically negotiate the required output voltage and charging power. With PPS, the voltage can be adjusted as needed within the supported range.

The actual achievable charging power depends on the connected end device, the USB-C cable used, and the available onboard voltage. The maximum power of 65 watts at 20 volts output is available only on a 24‑volt onboard electrical system.

Note on dimensions

Due to the integrated USB-C PD charging module, the luminaire’s wall plate is slightly larger than that of the corresponding standard version without a charging port.
